Synth, Crackle & Nod: Gimme The Dance Mix Vol. 14 features Modern Funk & Hip Hop from the last decade!

You all know how we're all about that good boogie, disco, house and electro funk. Well, we've always been big fans of Hip Hop and Rap as well. During the last couple of years the blooming of warping beats and spacy synth sounds of L.A. Modern Funk has brought something new to the scene and we have felt that it finally seals the seemingly big gap (all of you real music/record diggers out there know there has never been one, but anyways...) between the hardcore HipHop heads and Disco fanatics.

These sounds have really hit us like a tidal wave and as it had been over a year since we last recorded a mix together, we decided to reserve one Saturday evening for mixing with gin & juice.

Starting off from deep and spaced out tracks from Pavel Dovgal, Busy and Arp 101 this mix takes a step on the dark side with Nosaj Thing, Hermutt Lobby and Dizz1. To uplift the spirit, the journey continues with the banging beats of Onra and synth-solos of Dâm-Funk. There's something wrong with you if you don't see the palm trees swinging by the sides of pavements when B. Bravo's Computa Love finishes the mix.
